Robert Frank (born May 16, 1973 in Munich ) is a German actor , theater director and speaker for audio books , radio plays , dubbing roles , TV and radio commercials and computer games .

biography

Born in Munich , Robert Frank grew up in Altötting (Upper Bavaria) and attended the modern-language Maria-Ward-Gymnasium there after primary school. He has three siblings from his parents' marriage and two half-brothers from his father's second marriage. His mother was born in Spain and his father was born in Germany. As a result, he speaks both German and Spanish as his mother tongue. From 1994 to 1996 he did his community service at the Bavarian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Regensburg. 1996–1999 he completed his acting training at the New Munich Drama School . This was followed by theater engagements at theaters all over Germany such as the Westphalian State Theater , the Theater Hagen , the JES (Young Ensemble Stuttgart), the Comödie Bochum, the Tribüne Berlin , the Theaterforum Kreuzberg, the Theater der Altmark , the Theater Chemnitz , the Komödie Winterhuder Fährhaus Hamburg or the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. Robert Frank lives in Berlin today .

Robert Frank has been working as an audio book and radio play speaker for studios and publishers such as Lauscherlounge Records by Oliver Rohrbeck , Hörbuch Hamburg Verlag, Audible Studios , Studio Stil Berlin, Lübbe Audio , Argon Verlag and Ronin Hörverlag since 2013 . By the end of 2018, Robert Frank had read almost 150 audio books, including many bestsellers.

These include the Never Night - Series of Jay Kristoff, the high fantasy -Reihen of Sam Feuerbach The Krosann Saga in 6 volumes and The gravedigger son in 4 volumes, Mira Valentine "Enyador" - Saga with currently four volumes, Larry Correia Monster Hunter International with currently 6 volumes published in German, Friedrich Kalpenstein's Herbert series also with 6 volumes and Philip Reeves Mortal Engines Volumes 1 to 4, of which Volume 1 was released in international cinemas in December 2018 ( Mortal Engines: War of the Cities ), as well The Shadowhunters Chronicles by Cassandra Clare and The Dark Garden by best-selling Irish author Tana French .

Various non-fiction books such as Irresistible by Adam Alter, The Black Box Principle by Matthew Syed , The Power Paradox by Dacher Keltner , The Crash is the Solution and Capital Error (both titles by Matthias Weik and Marc Friedrich ) and many more were read by him .

He is also increasingly represented in radio play productions, as well as in live radio plays. Finally, in the one listed by the Lauscherlounge, Jack the Ripper at the side of z. B. Oliver Rohrbeck (the voice of Justus Jonas in Die drei ??? (radio play) ) and Detlef Bierstedt - the German dubbing voice of George Clooney , among others - at Marienburg Castle in the Hanover region. Since 2009 he has also been heard in the features and radio play radio productions, among others for Deutschlandradio , RBB and WDR .
