The Rohrlache nature reserve between Dippach and Dankmarshausen is located in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . It extends southwest of Dippach , a district of the city of Werra-Suhl-Tal . The state road L 1023 runs along the eastern edge of the area and the state border with Hesse runs along the southern edge . The Werra flows on the western edge of the area.

The 57.2 ha area with the NSG no. 221 was placed under nature protection in 2007.
