The nature reserve Erlensee - Maiwiesen is located in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . It extends along the Werra to the east of the core town of Bad Salzungen and north of Ettmarshausen , a village belonging to the Immelborn district of the Barchfeld-Immelborn community. The B 19 runs east of the area and the B 62 not far to the southwest .
