The nature reserve Roßberg-Kohlbach-Hochrain is located in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . The largest NSG in the district extends southeast of Kranlucken , a district of the Schleid (Rhön) community , along the Kohlbach , a right tributary of the Ulster . The state border with Hesse runs directly on the southern edge of the area. The B 278 runs to the west and the L 1122 state road to the south (= L 3175 on Hessian territory).
