Rolf Steinhäuser (born May 12, 1952 in Cologne ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Cologne .

Life

Rolf Steinhäuser studied philosophy and Catholic theology in Bonn and Regensburg , among others with Joseph Ratzinger, who later became Pope Benedict XVI. On June 24, 1977 he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Cologne and was chaplain in Hilden and Bonn .

From 1984 to 1989 he was city youth pastor in Bonn, from 1990 to 1996 diocesan youth pastor and head of the youth pastoral care department in the Archbishop's General Vicariate and rector of the Altenberg youth education center . In December 1996 he was appointed pastor at St. Lambertus in Düsseldorf , at the same time he received the office of deputy city dean in the city, since August 1997 he was city ​​dean of Düsseldorf.

Rolf Steinhäuser was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem by Cardinal Grand Master Carlo Cardinal Furno in 2003 and invested in Cologne Cathedral on May 17, 2003 by Bishop Anton Schlembach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .
