Südbadischer Sportschützenverband
The Südbadischer Sportschützenverband eV is one of the three regional associations of the German Shooting Federation in Baden-Württemberg with its headquarters in Offenburg . The association's territory extends from Durmersheim in the north to the border triangle Germany-Switzerland-France, the Upper Rhine and Lake Constance in the south. In the west it borders the Rhine and in the east it borders on the heights of the Black Forest on the Württemberg Rifle Association .
Associations and organization
The Südbadischer Sportschützenverband has around 300 clubs with a total of around 35,000 members. It is divided into the following ten circles:

- District 3 Hochschwarzwald Baar
- District 4 Ortenau
- District 5 Geroldseck
- District 6 Emmendingen
- District 7 Breisgau
- District 8 Markgräfler Sportschützenkreis

- District 10 Bodensee- Hegau
The association is led by the state board. The office in Offenburg is managed by a full-time managing director. For sporting matters there is a superordinate body with the state sports commission, which is composed of the district and state sports directors as well as numerous speakers for the various disciplines. The state committee provides another body as a control body for overarching issues such as B. Changes to the statutes, association exclusions and association admissions. It consists of the state board, the district shooting champions as well as the senior officer, press officer and shooting range expert.
Sports
The Südbadischer Sportschützenverband organizes the championships in the disciplines pistol , rifle , crossbow , bow , running target, clay target , muzzle loader , summer biathlon and bench rest shooting according to the sports regulations of the German Shooting Federation . In addition, competitions such as the national age shooting, the SBSV Trappokal, the shooting competition, the Black Forest Cup and ranking tournaments in ball and archery disciplines are held annually.
In addition, the South Baden League and the Association League for rifles, pistols and bows are organized, as well as various round competitions in the disciplines of muzzle-loaders, edition, KK 3 × 20 and sport pistol. A special women's long-distance competition will be held for women.
As an association, the SBSV participates annually in the youth association round, the Shooty Cup, the Ladies Cup, LG 3-Position Cup, Master Cup, Pistol Team Cup and the Germany Cup.
Various national matches are held, such as the multi-country match in South Tyrol , Alsace , Beider Basel , Vorarlberg and South Baden and the women's multi-country match in Baden , Bavaria , Württemberg, Saarland and South Baden.
history
The Südbadischer Sportschützenverband was founded on January 27, 1952 in Donaueschingen and a few months later it was accepted into the Badischer Sportbund. Friendly contacts with the neighboring associations have been cultivated since the 1950s. Some of the competitions that started back then still exist today. Comparative battles take place annually against Alsace, Vorarlberg, South Tyrol and Northern Switzerland. The international matches and youth measures with Dauphine / Savoie took place in Valence every two years. The multi-country battle in South Baden, Beider Basel, Alsace, Vorarlberg and South Tyrol dates from this time. The state rifle days have traditionally been held in May since the first state rifle days in Konstanz in 1953. On April 20, 1958, the SBSV became a member of the Badischer Sportbund.
In the 1960s, the first SBSV training center was set up in Emmendingen to promote popular and top-class sport. In 1966 the SBSV organized the German Rifle Day in Baden-Baden.
At the beginning of the 1970s, archery was started in southern Baden and Eva-Maria Bolloff, the first female director, was appointed. At the 1972 Olympic Games , 23 people from southern Baden were employed as employees. In the mid-1970s, the joint state performance center of the Baden, South Baden and Württemberg associations was set up in Pforzheim . In 1976, the 25th German Shooting Day was held for the second time in Baden-Baden. The Südbadischer Sportschützenverband received the “Dr. Georg von Opel “award. Also in 1976 a state championship in muzzle-loading shooting was held for the first time in Nenzingen .
For the first time a state championship in summer biathlon could be held in Schönwald in 2000 . In 2002, the association celebrated its 50th anniversary in Constance.
In September 2006, the cooperation in the LLZ Pforzheim with the other Baden-Württemberg shooting associations was terminated and a separate training system was implemented. In 2011 the SBSV hosted the Deutschland-Cup Muzzle Loader in Hüfingen for the first time , and in 2015 in Hüflingen and Bräunlingen .
At the Landesschützentag in Oberkirch 2014, a structural reform was completed with the abolition of the districts.
Special sporting successes
In 1955, Fritz Zimmermann of the SG Rheinfelden became the first national rifle king. At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 , Karl Wenk started in the KK prone fight. In October 1962, Wenk became world champion in the KK prone fight at the World Championships in Cairo . In 1963 he was the first South Baden bearer of the silver laurel leaf . He also took part in the Tokyo Olympics in 1964 with the small-bore rifle and came in seventh. Four years later, Wenk and Erich Gehmann competed in the Olympic Games in Mexico City .
In 1980, Wolfgang Bähr from the Oberkirch shooting club became Junior European Champion with the air rifle . In 1981, Hans Sattel from the SG Offenburg became the federal rifle king. Doris Haas (bow), Harry Wittig (bow), Traudel Weißenberg (sport pistol) and Alfred Radtke ( Olympic rapid fire pistol ) took part in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles . Archer Doris Haas competed in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul .
In 1991 the SV Freiburg-St. Georgen into the Bundesliga air rifle. In 1994 Tanja Schmitt became European Champion KK 3 × 20. Veronika Michalski from ASG St. Blasien became the first German champion in the new discipline of compound bows . In 1995, Norbert Kappeler became the police European champion in the KK prone fight, and St. Georgen was promoted to the Bundesliga. Daniel Leonhard took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta .
Daniel Leonhard took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . ESV Weil am Rhein qualified as Bundesliga promoters for the league finals. Christian Lusch won the silver medal in the KK prone fight at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , in which other association members also took part. At the World Cup final in Bangkok , Christian Lusch set the world record with 600 rings in the small-bore prone fight and thus secured victory at the World Cup final. Kathrin Böcherer became the Federal Youth Rifle King in Munich in 2006 . The ESV Weil am Rhein was German Air Pistol Champion in the Bundesliga finals in Paderborn in 2007 . Claudia Verdicchio (air pistol) took part in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Patricia Suhm started in archery at the Junior World Championships in Ogden / USA in July 2009 . In June 2010 Justus Gonser and Philipp Rastetter started with the compound bow at the European Archery Championships in Winnenden . Nathalie Zier became the Federal Youth Protection Queen in Hanover in 2012 . Claudia Verdicchio-Krause (air pistol / sport pistol) competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London . Eva Rösken (SV Münstertal ) took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the KK 3 × 20 and came in 14th.
The Grimmelshausen Bow Club Renchen won 1st place in the Kontev competition of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture in 2017. In the same year, the Bundeskönigsschießen took place in the Hessian state performance center in Frankfurt-Schwanheim . Susanne Schladebach (KKSV Heitersheim) was proclaimed the new federal shooting queen on Frankfurt's Römerberg .
