Saattoq [ ˈsaːtːɔq ] (according to the old spelling Sãtoĸ ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the district of Upernavik in the Avannaata Kommunia .

location

Saattoq is located on a small island of the same name . The closest inhabited settlements are Innaarsuit nine kilometers north and Naajaat just as far east.

history

Virtually nothing is known about Saattoq. The residential space is occupied on a map from 1887 and must therefore have been settled beforehand. The place still existed in 1901, but it does not appear in the 1918 census, which means that it was abandoned in the early 20th century.
