Sachsenweg (TWV)

The Sachsenweg is a 41-kilometer long- distance hiking trail that connects Ravensberg Castle near Borgholzhausen in the Gütersloh district and Limberg Castle near Preußisch Oldendorf in the Minden-Lübbecke district , both in north-eastern North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany .

Starting at Ravensberg Castle ( ), the Sachsenweg runs over Borgholzhausen, the slope of the Hengeberg , " Haus Brinke ", Königsbrück Castle (zu Melle ), Schiplage-St. Annen , Riemsloh , Else , Bruchmühlen , Wehringdorf , Haus Kilver , Rödinghausen and the Nonnenstein to the destination at Limberg Castle ( ). The hiker is led from the Teutoburg Forest into the Wiehen Mountains. On the way he has to cope with around ± 610 meters in altitude. The hiker reaches the lowest point of the Sachsenweg at the bridge over the Else ( 68  m above sea  level ), the highest point is about 270  m above sea level. NHN on the Nonnenstein .
