Sankt Peders Kirke

Sankt Peders Sogn ( German: Petrus Gemeinde ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the town of Næstved on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Tybjerg Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Næstved Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into the "new" Næstved Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

Of the 43,803 inhabitants of Næstved, 9,792 live in the parish of Sankt Peders (as of January 1, 2020).

The church "Sankt Peders Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Herlufsholm Sogn and Holsted Sogn in the north, Rønnebæk Sogn in the south-east, Sankt Mortens Sogn in the south and Fodby Sogn in the west .
