The Santo Domingo de los Olleros district is located in the Huarochirí province of the Lima region in central western Peru . The district has an area of ​​578 km². At the 2017 census, there were 3,125 residents in the district. In 1993 the population was 1020, in 2007 it was 2906. The district administration is located in the 2830  m high city of Santo Domingo de los Olleros with 85 inhabitants (as of 2017). Santo Domingo de los Olleros is located 45 km south-southwest of the provincial capital Matucana .

Geographical location

The Santo Domingo de los Olleros district is located in the southwest of the Huarochirí province. It is located on the western flank of the Peruvian Western Cordillera .

The district of Santo Domingo de los Olleros borders in the southwest with the district Chilca ( province Cañete ), in the west with the districts San Bartolo , Punta Negra , Punta Hermosa , Lurín and Pachacámac (the 5 districts are all in the province Lima ), in the north to the districts of Antioquía and Cuenca and to the east to the districts of Langa and Mariatana .
