German Chess League 2016/17 (Austria)

The German Chess League 2016/17 was the 42nd season of the Austrian Chess League . Champion was the SV Raika Rapid Feffernitz , of the SK Sparkasse Jenbach and the defending champions SC MPOE Maria Saal referred just to the 2nd and 3rd Blackburne Nickelsdorf (group east), ASK Case IH Steyr St. Valentin (center) and the chess club Bregenz (west) were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga; all three newcomers had to descend immediately.
