The village of Schwaig is part of the town of Neustadt an der Donau in the Kelheim district in Lower Bavaria .

location

The place lies in the plains of the Donauauen . The Ilm touches the place in the northwest, the Danube flows past at a distance of about 2.5 km to the north. To the south, the large wooded areas of the Dürnbucher Forest begin to rise in the southern slope of the Danube valley to the last foothills of the Hallertau hill country .
