Sebastian Achilles (born September 24, 1980 in Bad Saarow-Pieskow ) is a German actor .

Life

From 2001 to 2005 he completed his acting training at the Berlin University of the Arts . The first engagements took him to the Maxim-Gorki-Theater , the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and the Schauspiel Zittau . He played u. a. the title characters in " Don Karlos " and " Romeo and Juliet ".

He then became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Grips-Theater Berlin for several years . There he could be seen in the world-famous premiere production of “Linie1” as “Bambi”. The production “Über Jungs” with him in the leading role “Victor Cluscrescu” won the 2013 theater Oscar “DER FAUST”.

In the summer of 2011 he played 'August von Götz' for the first time at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms in “The Story of Joseph Süss Oppenheimer called Jud Süss”, directed by Dieter Wedel . In the summer of 2012 he again took on the role of Götz's stuttering upstart in Dieter Wedel's production “The Fortune of Mr. Süss”. At the same time he became known to a larger audience through the VW tactics commercial for the 2012 European Football Championship. In 2014 Dieter Wedel brought him to Worms for the third time as 'King Thuringia' for his farewell production "Hebbels Nibelungen - Born This Way".

In addition to the theater, he works continuously in the film and television sector. Here he is both in series (“ Polizeiruf 110 ”, “ SOKO Cologne ”, “ In all friendship ”) and in feature films (“ Nothing is forgotten ” ARD award: 'Bronze Olive'; 'Lauf der Dinge', '1985 - The last summer with you ”). He took on leading episode roles in various ZDF productions a. a. in “ SOKO Leipzig - Zwei Schwestern”, “ Notruf Hafenkante - Sport ist Mord”, the multi-award-winning Austrian film Rammbock and was seen in the cinema next to Christian Ulmen in Beck's last summer in summer 2015 . From 2013 to 2016 he played one of the three main male roles, the rock rebel 'Elmar', in the Udo Lindenberg musical “ Hinterm Horizont ” in Berlin on Potsdamer Platz, directed by Ulrich Waller . For the production “Hinterm Horizont” he and the ensemble won the BZ Culture Prize 2015 and received the “ Berlin Bear (BZ Culture Prize) ” at the award ceremony . At the beginning of 2017 and 2018 he is on tour with the production FALCO - The Musical in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and plays in large arenas such as the Dortmund Westfalenhalle and the Cologne LANXESS Arena .

In 2017 he took on a continuous role in the new science fiction series "Eight Days" on the pay TV channel SKY . OSCAR award winners Stefan Ruzowitzky and Michael Krummenacher directed . From autumn 2017 he shot for the Netflix series Dogs of Berlin, also in a continuous role until spring 2018. Christian Alvart took over the direction.

In the summer of 2018 he played the lead role 'Huxley' in Global Creatures and BBC Worldwide Ltd. produced arena show Dinosaurier - Im Reich der Gianten (original title: Walking with Dinosaurs ), which is based on the BBC documentary television series of the same name . Rehearsals will take place in London, Newcastle and Paris. Directed by Scott Faris . It will be on view in 2018 and 2019 in Berlin, Hamburg, Mannheim, Cologne, Munich, Zurich and Vienna.
