Sebastian Dahm (born February 28, 1987 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish - German ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with the Eisbären Berlin in the German ice hockey league .
Career
Sebastian Dahm began his career as an ice hockey player in his Danish homeland in the youth department of Rødovre SIK , where he was active until around 2003. The goalkeeper then played for the U18 and U20 juniors of the Swedish first division team Malmö Redhawks for two years . From 2005 to 2008 he stood for the Belleville Bulls , who had selected him in the 2005 CHL Import Draft as the 49th player in the first round, Sarnia Sting , Sudbury Wolves and Niagara IceDogs in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League between the posts. For the 2008/09 season he received a contract with the Syracuse Crunch from the American Hockey League , for which he was on the ice 24 times in his rookie year . In addition, the Dane completed five games for the Johnstown Chiefs from the ECHL . The 2009/10 season he began with the Alaska Aces in the ECHL, but spent much of the season as a loaner with the Bloomington Prairie Thunders in the International Hockey League .
After Bloomington was admitted to the Central Hockey League in the summer of 2010 after the dissolution of the IHL , he remained without use and therefore returned to Denmark in December 2010. There he got up in two games for the Rødovre Mighty Bulls in the AL-Bank Ligaen before moving to EfB Ishockey in the middle of the month , where he was regularly used in the top Danish division until the end of the season. For the 2011/12 season he returned to the Rødovre Mighty Bulls.
From 2015 to 2017 Dahm was under contract with the Graz 99ers in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League . For the 2017/18 season he moved to the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Ice Hockey League . Since the 2019/20 season, Dahm has been playing with the Eisbären Berlin in the DEL.
International
For Denmark, Dahm took part in the junior division in the U18 junior world championships in Division I in 2003 and the U18 junior world championships in the top division in 2004 and 2005 as well as in the U20 youth world championships in Division I in 2004 , 2005 and 2007 .
At senior level he stood so far at the World Championships in 2009 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 and 2016 in the line-up of his country . However, it was not used in 2013 and 2014. He also represented his colors in qualifying for the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .

Dahm has both Danish and German citizenship as his mother is German.
