Sebastian Guerra Soto (born July 28, 2000 in Carlsbad , California ) is an American football player .
Career
society
The son of a Mexican mother and Chilean father, he began his career at San Diego Surf before joining Real Salt Lake Academy in 2015 . After three years at Salt Lake, he moved to Germany for the 2018/19 season in the A-youth team of Hannover 96 . In August 2018 he made his debut for Hanover's U-19 team in the A-Juniors Bundesliga when he was in the starting line-up against Werder Bremen on the first matchday of that season . In a 4-2 win against TSV Havelse in the same month, he scored his first two goals for the A-Juniors from Hanover.
In November 2018 he was allowed to train with the professionals for the first time under the then coach André Breitenreiter . Under Breitenreiter's successor Thomas Doll , Soto made his debut in the Bundesliga on his squad debut for the professionals in April 2019 , when he came on as a substitute for Marvin Bakalorz on matchday 28 against VfL Wolfsburg in the 79th minute .
National team
Soto played against Jamaica for the first time for the US U20 team in September 2018 . With this he also took part in the CONCACAF U20 championship in the same year , which he won with the USA. Soto made two appearances for his country during the tournament. He was also in the US squad at the U20 World Cup in Poland in 2019 , in the group game against Nigeria (2-0) the striker scored his first two goals in the national shirt. In the quarterfinals, the team was eliminated against Ecuador .
