Silvia Felt
Silvia Felt (* 15. June 1977 in Weinheim as Silvia Balbach ) is a German duathlete and triathlete . She is Ironman winner (2011) and German runner-up in the triathlon middle distance (2018).
Career
Silvia Balbach was active as a handball player in her youth and won the German runner-up in the B-Youth in 1994.
In 2004 she started with a triathlon on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) and started in Roth in 2008 for the first time on the long distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) .
In 2008 she was second in her age group W30-34 in Florida at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running).
In 2009 she was able to qualify for a starting place at the Ironman Hawaii in Zurich , where she came in 26th.
In July 2010 she was fourth fastest woman overall and fastest amateur at the Ironman European Championship. In October, she was second in her age group (W30-34) at the Ironman Hawaii. She has been married since August 2010 and has since started as Silvia Felt . She studied at the University of Bayreuth , lives with her husband in Munich and works for TG Neuss .
In April 2011, she narrowly missed the podium and finished fourth at the Ironman South Africa. In June 2011 she was able to achieve her first Ironman victory in Nice. She started as a professional from 2011 to 2013. She is trained by Helmut Dollinger , the husband of the former Austrian triathlete Eva Maria Dollinger (* 1978).
In August 2016 she came third at the Challenge Regensburg .
German Vice-Champion Triathlon Middle Distance 2018
In June 2018 the then 40-year-old became German runner-up in the middle distance triathlon in Ingolstadt.
In October 2019, the 42-year-old won the Mallorca Marathon after 3:04:41 hours .
