Spielberg (colloquially: Schbilberch ) is a district of the municipality of Oberdachstetten in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

Immediately north of the hamlet flows the Reifweihergraben, a right tributary of the Stockbach, which flows into the Franconian Rezat on the right . To the south are the Höllengrund and the forest area Eberstall. Approx. The Deutsche Bühl ( 528 m above sea level ) rises 1 km to the southwest . Approx. The redwood is 1 km to the southeast. A communal road leads to the state road 2245 near Oberdachstetten (1.7 km north) or the federal road 13 crossing to Möckenau (1 km east).

history

The place was first documented in 1146 as "Spilberc". The place name was probably originally the field name of the nearby elevation (today: Spielbuck). Apparently there were ritual games on this elevation (driving out winter, midsummer celebration).

In 1269 gave Sophia of Colmberg the monastery Heilsbronn their possessions in Spielberg. These four Heilsbronn estates became deserted and fell into disrepair during the Thirty Years' War .

By the end of the 18th century there were five properties in Spielberg. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth mayor's office in Markt Bergel . The village and community rulership was held by the Neuhof caste office in Brandenburg-Bayreuth . The landlords were the Kastenamt Neuhof (1 courtyard, 1 estate, 1 shepherd's house), the Brandenburg-Ansbachian Kastenamt Colmberg (1 estate) and the imperial city of Rothenburg (1 estate).

From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

Through the municipal edict, Spielberg was assigned to the Mitteldachstetten tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Mitteldachstetten, founded in 1810 . On January 1, 1972, Spielberg was incorporated into Oberdachstetten as part of the regional reform .

Architectural monuments

House No. 7: one-storey building from the 18th century with a mansard roof and the associated one-storey half-timbered barn from the 18th century with a crooked hip.
The small tower hill of Spielberg Castle is located at Spielbuck .
