The Stelzenbachwiesen nature reserve is located in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 20 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1984 , extends northeast of the local community of Oberelbert . The state road L 327 runs to the west and the L 326 to the east. The area is traversed by the Stelzenbach in a north-south direction .

The protection purpose is the preservation of the wetland with its swamp areas and subsequent moist grassland areas as a location for rare plants and as a habitat for threatened and rare animal species, especially rare bird species, for scientific reasons.
