Stryschawka ( Ukrainian Стрижавка ; Russian Стрижавка Strischawka , Polish Strzyżawka ) is an urban-type settlement in Podolia in Ukraine with about 9,000 inhabitants (2012).

Stryschawka is located in the Vinnytsia Oblast on the bank of the Southern Bug on the M21 trunk road , 9 km north of the Vinnytsia Oblast center .

The now uninhabited settlement Slavne ( Славне ) still belongs to the settlement council .

history

The village, founded in 1552, received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1984. At the end of the Second World War, the Führer headquarters were in the settlement . Today there is a memorial for the victims of fascism in the place.
