Rudnyzja (Ukrainian Рудниця ; Russian Рудница / Rudniza , Polish Rudnickie ) is an urban-type settlement in Ukraine with around 1100 inhabitants. It is located in the historical region of Podolia in the southeast of the Vinnytsia Oblast, 7 kilometers northeast of the Rajon capital Pishchanka and 113 kilometers southeast of the Oblast capital Vinnytsia , the border with Moldova / Transnistria runs 16 kilometers southwest.
The village was not established until the end of the 19th century when a train station was built on the railway line from Podilsk to Schmerynka from 1876 (today the Krasne – Odessa railway line ) and in 1938 was given the status of an urban-type settlement. In 1899 a narrow-gauge railway of today's Hajworon narrow-gauge network was opened from the village .
The name of the settlement is derived from the northeastern village of Rudnyzke and means something like Klein-Rudnyzke .
