Lypowez (Ukrainian Липовець ; Russian Липовец / Lipowez , Polish Łypowiec ) is a city in Ukraine with about 9,000 inhabitants. It is the administrative center of Lypovets Raion , located in the north-eastern part of Vinnytsia Oblast on the Sob River .
history
The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1545, in 1925 it was raised to a settlement of the urban type , on September 13, 2001 Lypowez was given city status (under district administration).
