Dangerous Game is a German television film by Frauke Thielecke from 2013. It is the forty-sixth film in the ZDF crime film series Stubbe - From Case to Case with Wolfgang Stumph in the title role.

action

15-year-old Saskia has embarked on a dangerous game . While surfing the internet and visiting certain websites, she may have run into a murderer. Inspector Stubbe and his colleague Zimmermann start the investigation and find the girl in a hotel room, lightly dressed. This was booked by a gentleman who had called Saskia over to spend the night with her. But now she is dead on the ground.

Stubbe asks Saskia's friend Vanessa if she knows who Saskia had an appointment with, but she is silent. When the victim's cell phone is checked, Stubbe's colleague Tina Rosinsky finds the flirt site that Saskia had visited on the Internet with her cell phone. However, your account cannot be opened without the appropriate access data . Until the judge's approval is available so that the provider releases the password, Stubbe asks Saskia's school class. There he immediately notices Mirco, with whom he tries to talk, but the boy blocks. Zimmermann immediately asked the youth welfare office and there Mirco Wagner is known as a problem child who had already received a youth sentence for assault.

In Saskia's account, the investigators find a chat partner who had written to Saskia very often and possibly also arranged to meet her. Except for the username and a photo, they have nothing from him. Vanessa allegedly doesn't know the man either. But of course that's not true. She knows exactly who the man is, because Moorbach is actually her chat partner. But the commissioners will soon find out because they can also open the chat partner's account with judicial approval. So it is clear that they have to look for a Holger Moorbach who is on the road as a representative in Hamburg and the surrounding area. The search quickly brought success and Moorbach was arrested. He denies doing anything to the girl. Saskia would have been lying dead in front of the shower stall when he came into the room. The comparison of the fingerprints seems to confirm that Moorbach had not stayed long in the hotel room. On the other hand, there are more and more indications that Vanessa was jealous of Saskia. But she is not responsible for Saskia's death, but her father. Brüggenthal had noticed that his daughter was chatting with Moorbach and did not want to sit and watch as she let an older man take advantage of her. So he found the man to tell him to leave his daughter alone. In the hotel he unexpectedly met Saskia, whom he wanted to ask to go home. But she refused and in the scuffle she then fell unhappy.

Audience rating

criticism

Tilmann P. Gangloff from tittelbach.tv said: “'Dangerous play' tells of young girls who freely present themselves on the website of a flirt portal. Markus Stromiedel's book has a concern that the film does not address. Avoiding any voyeurism and being 'human' down to the last detail [...] this 'Stubbe' case is clearly one of the good episodes of the popular ZDF series, which has grown in profile with the increasing seriousness of Wolfgang Stumph. "

For the critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm , Dangerous Game was a “human thriller without speed and bite” and gave the film a medium rating (thumbs to the side).
