The Sudelfeldpass is 1123 m above sea level. NN high pass of the Sudelfeldstrasse in the Bavarian Alps . This crosses the pass above and around 120 m northwest of the actual saddle (in the orographic sense), the height of which is 1097 m.
Geographical location
The pass is located in the southeast of Bavaria at the interface between the districts of Miesbach and Rosenheim about 7 km (as the crow flies ) north of the border with Austria . The road pass connects Bayrischzell and Oberaudorf . Sudelfeldstrasse or B 307 is part of the German Alpine Road . The geographical pass is in the Mangfall Mountains at ERTS89 47 ° 40´ 41´´ N | 12 ° 02´ 13´´ E ( UTM 33 277605 | 5284800) at the lowest point of the mountain ridge between Großem Traithen ( 1851.5 m above sea level ) and Wendelstein ( 1838 m above sea level ). This connects the river basins of the Leitzach and the Inn via the Larchbach (to Leitzach near Bayrischzell) and the Auerbach (to the Inn near Oberaudorf).
Sudelfeldstrasse and connecting roads
By the Sudelfeld leading Sudelfeldstraße is a part of the B 307 or the German Alpine Road . It runs curvy from the west or Schliersee past Bayrischzell ( 800 m above sea level ) over the summit of the Sudelfeld pass , at the same time past the ski paradise Sudelfeld and the opposite Arzmoos valley, then east to the Tatzelwurm waterfall , which is near the place of the same name ( 764 m) and a fork in the road (789 m).
From this intersection, the Tatzelwurmstraße leads east to Oberaudorf (480 m) in the Inn Valley and northwards the toll road Förchenbachtalstraße to Brannenburg (509 m) or Flintsbach am Inn (479 m).
The actual saddle (old pass before the Sudelfeldstrasse was built) can be reached on footpaths or forest roads from Bayrischzell or from the Auerbachtal.
Pass height
On the pass, which is hardly noticeable, there is a sign: “Pass height Sudelfeld 1123 m above sea level. NN ". The Berghotel Sudelfeld is located just below the orographic pass .
