Tamlyn Naomi Tomita (born January 27, 1966 in Okinawa , Japan ) is an American actress .
life and career
Tamlyn Tomita is the daughter of the Japanese Shiro and Asako Tomita and has Filipino ancestors on her mother 's side. She majored in history at the University of California, Los Angeles , but then switched to acting. Before working as an actress, she won several beauty pageants. Tamlyn Tomita made her film debut in 1986 in the film Karate Kid II . Since then, she has worked in several dozen television films and series, in addition to some feature films.
