Tischbein (artist family)
The Tischbein were a Hessian family of carpenters and painters from the 18th and 19th centuries.
All of the family's artists are descendants of the Haina hospital baker Johann Heinrich Tischbein (1682–1764) and his wife Susanne Margarethe, née Hinsing. Almost every child was an artist.
