The nature reserve Torfvenn / Rehrbach is located in the area of the communities Hünxe and Schermbeck in the Wesel district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends east of the core town of Hünxe and south of the core town of Schermbeck. The Lippe flows north . The A 3 runs to the west, the L 104 state road and the A 31 run to the east . West, the 551 includes ha large nature reserve Gartroper Mühlebach on.
meaning
For Hünxe and Schermbeck, an area of 266.28 ha has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number WES-048 since 1991. The area was placed under protection in order to preserve and restore a typically developed lowland area characterized by grassland as a relic of a rural cultural landscape with its characteristic animal and plant species.
