The sixth season of the US sitcom Two and a Half Men celebrated its premiere on 22 September 2008 at the transmitter CBS . The German TV station ProSieben broadcast the German TV station ProSieben from October 20 to December 22, 2009 and January 26, 2010. On January 9 and 16 and from February 6 to March 27, 2010, the Austrian TV station ORF eins broadcast the first broadcast. The last seven episodes of this season were broadcast for the first time on the Swiss television channel SF Zwei between March 30 and April 7, 2010 .
In German-speaking countries, the first season was broadcast under the title "My cooler Onkel Charlie" . From the second season the original American title was used and the German title was added as an addition: Two and a Half Men - Mein cooler Unkel Charlie .

Since Alan's car is in the workshop and there is no bus going from Malibu to Alan's practice, Charlie has to drive him to work. When Charlie meets Alan's secretary, Melissa, he invites her to his terrace for a drink after work. Although Alan asks Charlie to keep his hands off her, Charlie goes to bed with her because he is sure of his sincere feelings for her. After Melissa spends a full weekend with Charlie, Alan's fears come true and the two split up. After a few more meetings between Judith and Alan, Judith realizes that she cannot get involved with Alan again and gets back together with Herb. Alan does Charlie a favor and takes Charlie's Mercedes over to an inspection for him, where he meets Diane. When Alan believes there is a radio link between him and Diane, he has fun with her in the house of his mother Evelyn, who is away for a few days. However, Diane's targeting is Charlie's expensive car, not Alan. Meanwhile, Jake and Charlie welcome their new neighbors, Jerome and Celeste. Jake and Celeste go for a walk on the beach together, which Celeste's father is not happy about. When the two are not back after a few hours, Jerome turns upset to Charlie, who only manages to calm Jerome with the greatest art of persuasion. | |||||||

Charlie's best friend Andy dies while the two of them sit together on Charlie's terrace and share stories of old times over a beer and a cigar. Since Charlie is now also concerned about his health, he drives to the hospital and has all kinds of tests done on himself. However, since he has to wait a bit for the results, he tries in the meantime to make a good impression on his loved ones with gifts. When Charlie and Alan are at Andy's funeral and Charlie realizes how few people are at his friend's funeral, he thinks he has to leave something of himself on earth and wants to propose to Rose. As he kneels in front of Rose, he gets a call from his doctor who tells him that he is very healthy. Alan is tempted to get involved with his secretary and Charlie's ex-lover, Melissa. When he can no longer resist the temptation and visits Melissa at home, he meets her stoned mother Shelly. Shelly also shows interest in Alan, but instead of getting involved in a "mother-daughter threesome", Alan prefers to go home and end the day on Charlie's terrace. It's Alan's 40th birthday and Melissa wants to arrange a party for him. She asks Charlie, Evelyn, Jake and Berta to come to the party as well, which the four of them are reluctant to do. When the guests at the party are asked to say a few words about Alan, Charlie, Evelyn and Berta make fun of him while Jake makes room for the cake. Melissa believes Alan deserves better than being ridiculed by his family and invites Alan to stay with her and her mother. When Melissa goes shopping again, Shelly offers Alan her self-baked banana bread . Alan, who doesn't know that Shelly's baking recipe also includes hemp , likes to take a piece and then loses control of himself. Charlie's relationship with Chelsea is in danger of falling apart because Chelsea are dissatisfied with their all-sex, food and television relationship. To save the relationship, Charlie goes to a psychologist who advises him to deal with his feelings. Since Charlie wants to save the relationship with Chelsea at all costs, he persuades Chelsea to a couple counseling, which reveals more of Charlie's problems than it helps the relationship between the two. | |||||||

Chelsea is out for a funeral and Charlie is enjoying the evening without her. When Charlie's ex-lover Wanda shows up drunk, Charlie can't help but invite her in. Alan and Jake are in a bad mood because they believe the one-night stand with Wanda could endanger Charlie's relationship with Chelsea, which they have now taken dearly. Realizing that his love for Chelsea is greater than risking it for a one-night stand, Charlie decides to ask Wanda to leave. Wanda is meanwhile in Charlie's bedroom and is no longer accessible. When Chelsea calls and tells Charlie that she is already on her way home, things get tight for Charlie, and only with Jake and Alan's help he manages to get Wanda out of his bedroom fast enough. | |||||||

When he sends Charlie greetings from Mia, Charlie's interest in Mia reawakens, which he can't hide from his fiancée Chelsea either. |
