Uhlenkrug (Seehausen)
Uhlenkrug is a residential area in the Beuster district of the Hanseatic city of Seehausen (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The Uhlenkrug lies between the Elbe -Deichen on a mound in the nature reserve of Aland Elbe valley in the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve in northern Wipe in the Altmark .
history
In 1802 the Uhlenkrug was built as a towing station for the horses that had to pull the ships upstream on the left (western) bank of the Elbe.
The small thatched half-timbered building is a listed building.
For the first time since its construction, the courtyard was hit by a flood in 2013.
