history

In the west of the city, in the immediate vicinity of the forester's house Warthe, there was an outer fort, which was called the farthest Warthe . It is only mentioned in 1686, but must have been made in the Middle Ages.

The last remnant of it was an old tower called the flower observatory . He belonged to the Seehauser Landwehr . This settlement protection system is now designated as a ground monument . It runs to the south-western outskirts of Seehausen, where the late Gothic fangel tower still stands today, which was also called the deepest Warta . The weir was created to protect the corridors and demarcations from ramparts and trenches. Landwehr walls and trenches were created. The walls were planted with bushes and formed hedges with thorn bushes. Later, a preliminary combing works was created at the control room, which was named in 1744, but has been reused. The waiting room was still in place in 1850. In 1850 there was catering in the Warthe forester's house during the summer months . It was called a garden restaurant. Summer concerts have been held there regularly since 1869. During larger festivities in the city, these were often let end on the Warta. There was a Warthesteig that began behind the booths , led across the railway and was secured by small barriers. It continued through the meadows, past the Grashöfe , through the forest parallel to the Chaussee to Arendsee in the direction of the Forsthaus Warthe.

The residential building of the waiting room still existed in 1909. The forester's house in Warthe later lost its importance as a recreation center and there was no more catering. It was reopened on July 1, 1934. After the level crossing for pedestrians to the Warthesteig was closed in 1938, the catering was given up again. Parts of this waiting area were included in the grassland areas.
