In 1427 awarded Margrave John the Arnd Negenrad in already mountains ( Schoenberg ) different lifts, including Ninckerkes hoff semi czu Osterberstorff . Other mentions are 1472 to Ostorpe , 1535 Oberstorff and 1687 Ostorff . In 1804 the village is called Ostorf and Ostdorf , has 7 whole farmers, 5 residents and a windmill. The windmill stood until 1910 in the residential area Auf dem Sande , east of the village , which today belongs to Beuster and no longer to Ostorf.
Until 1940 the farm at Hufe belonged to the municipality.
