Eickhof (Seehausen)

Eickhof is a residential area in the Geestgottberg district of the Hanseatic town of Seehausen (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The estate is located in the middle of Geestgottberg, 4½ kilometers south of Wittenberge between the rivers Elbe and Aland in the far north of the Altmark .

Neighboring places are Wittenberge and Eickerhöfe in the north, Losenrade in the northeast, Hohe Geest in the east and Gottberg in the west.

history

In 1541 Eichhove was owned by the noble lords of Putlitz . In 1608 Joachim von Putlitz lived in Eickehof , a farm in the Beritt Seehausen. In 1687 the place was called Eickhoff . In 1804 the noble estate was already called Eickhof .

Incorporations

On September 30, 1928, part of the Eickhof estate was combined with the rural community of Geestgottberg , the other part, the land of the innkeeper Schatz, was combined with the rural community of Losenrade . Eickhof thus became the residential area of ​​the Geestgottberg community, which has been a district since 2010.
