The University of Castile-La Mancha ( Spanish Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha ; in the abbreviation often UCLM ) is a state university founded in 1985 in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha , Spain . Its main locations are the provincial capitals Ciudad Real , Toledo , Albacete and Cuenca , further facilities are in Almadén , Talavera de la Reina and Puertollano .
The university is organized on a decentralized basis; the individual locations have a high degree of autonomy. The seat of the joint rectorate is Ciudad Real; there are vice rectorates in Albacete, Cuenca and Toledo.
Around 30,000 students are enrolled. The university offers 54 undergraduate and 65 postgraduate courses in 37 faculties and schools. The university is a member of the university networks Universia, CRUE, EAIE and CGU.
