Vinícius Júnior , full name Vinícius José Paixão de Oliveira Júnior (born July 12, 2000 in São Gonçalo ), is a Brazilian football player . He has been under contract with Spanish first division Real Madrid since the 2018/19 season .
Club career
Flamengo Rio de Janeiro
Vinícius Júnior joined the youth of Flamengo Rio de Janeiro in 2005. Until his first appearance in the club's senior team, he played for twelve years. On May 13, 2017 (1st matchday) he made his professional football debut when he came on for Orlando Berrío in the 82nd minute in the 1-1 draw in the first division game against Atlético Mineiro .

At the end of May 2017, the Spanish first division club Real Madrid announced the commitment of Vinícius Júnior for July 2018. According to the club, he should play another year at Flamengo from this point on, but could join the Spanish record champions earlier if the clubs agree on it. A week before the transfer was announced, Vinícius Júnior's release clause for foreign clubs was raised from 30 to 45 million euros. At a press conference on June 20, 2018, Flamengo and Vinícius Júnior communicated that the player would leave the club in the course of the following month. Real Madrid finally announced the final signing of Vinícius Júnior for the 2018/19 season on July 20 . There he is in the squad for the first team, but was also the second team reported that in the third-tier Segunda División B played. In February 2019, national coach Tite Vinícius Júnior nominated for the A-selection for the first time . He was in the squad for the international matches against Panama and the Czech Republic on March 23 and 26. He did not come to any missions here. For the Copa America 2019 , he was not considered in the Brazilian squad. Tite nominated him again for the friendlies against Colombia and Peru in September of that year. In the game against Peru on September 10, Vinícius Júnior came to his first appearance. He was substituted on for Richarlison in the 74th minute .
