history

In the 13th century the place consisted of 4 whole courtyards. In 1313 the place was first mentioned in a document as "Weichersreut" in the fief register of Ramung IV. Von Kammerstein . The place name has the personal name of the founder Wighard as a defining word and -reuth as the basic word , ie "To clearing des Wighard". The burgraviate of Nuremberg had claims in the place, followed by the margraviate of Ansbach . In the Margravial Salbuch of 1434, 3 goods and the shepherd's house are given for “Weyckersrew e t”. There was also a foreign estate. In 1530 the ownership structure was the same. In 1732 there were 4 properties in Waickersreuth, according to Johann Georg Vetter's description of the upper office , of which 3 properties were subordinate to the Schwabach caste office and 1 property to a Nürnberger Hintersassen.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 5 properties and a community shepherd's house in Waickersreuth. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . The caste office Schwabach held the village and community rulership. The landlords were the Kastenamt Schwabach (3 whole yards, 1 Gütlein) and the Nuremberg owner von Volckamer (1 whole yard). In 1804 there were still 5 properties in the village, which were under the same landlord.

As part of the municipal edict, Waickersreuth was assigned to the Unterreichenbach tax district in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Unterreichenbach, formed in 1818 , which was renamed to Volkersgau on June 9, 1960 , after Unterreichenbach was incorporated into Schwabach . On May 1, 1978 Waickersreuth was incorporated into Kammerstein as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
