history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1295 as "Rvdolstorf" in a document from which it emerges that the castellan Rüdiger von Dietenhofen donated two properties to the Eichstätter Bishop Reinboto . He received this donation back on the same day as an episcopal fief.

In the land register of the margravial office of Schwabach, which was set up in 1434, 1 estate, 1 Seldengut and 1 mill are listed as property for the place . In 1623 there were 10 properties in the village, 2 of which were subordinate to the Schwabach caste office , 1 to the Schwabach hospital and 7 to the imperial city of Nuremberg . In 1732, according to the descriptions of the Oberamts by Johann Georg Vetter , there were 12 properties in Rudelsdorf, of which 2 properties were subordinate to the Schwabach caste office, 1 property to the Schwabach hospital and 7 properties to the imperial city of Nuremberg (imperial alms: 2, hospital and Katharinenklosteramt : 3, St. -Klara-Klosteramt : 2) and 2 properties owned by the Nuremberg owner ( from Behaim : 1, from Stromer : 1).

At the end of the 18th century there were 14 properties in Rudelsdorf. The high court south of the Aurach was exercised by the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and municipal bailiff's office in Windsbach and north of the Aurach by the Oberamt Schwabach , while the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste office in Schwabach held the village and community rulership. The landlords were the Kastenamt Schwabach (1 Köblergut , 2 empty houses ), the Spital Schwabach (1 Gut with Tafernwirtschaft ), the Imperial City of Nuremberg (Landesalmosenamt: 2 Whole Courtyards; Spital- und Katharinenklosteramt: 2 Whole Courtyards, 1 Köblergut; St. Klara-Klosteramt: 1 empty house and 1 grinding mill), Nuremberg owners (von Behaim: 1 Ganzhof; von Stromer: 1 Ganzhof) and the Nuremberg Order of the Teutonic Order (1 Köblergut). In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, forge). From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach . At that time there were 15 subject families, 5 of which were Ansbachian.

As part of the community edict, Rudelsdorf was assigned to the Barthelmesaurach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Barthelmesaurach, founded in 1810 . On May 1, 1978 this was incorporated into Kammerstein as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
