history

The place was conveniently located on the Mildacher Steig, a road that was laid out at the time of the Carolingians and led from Spalt to Zirndorf . The place was first mentioned in 1233 as "Gunzelinesrute". The place name has the personal name of the founder Gunzo as a defining word, -reuth as the basic word and the meaning for clearing the Gunzo .

The place was planned as a street village consisting of six original courtyards . In the land register for the castle count's office in Schwabach, which was set up around 1360, the place is mentioned as "Gu e nczelsreu e t". In the Salbuch of 1410, one good, three goodies and four Selden goodies are given for "Güntzleinsreut" . In the Salbuch of the margravial office of Schwabach, which was established in 1434, this property is given for the place. In 1530 four farms belonged to the office, one property was part of the early mass in Katzwang and one part of the Schwabach hospital. In 1732 there were nine properties in Günzersreuth, according to Johann Georg Vetter's description of the upper office, eight of which were subordinate to the Schwabach caste office (four courtyards, three farms, a cone farm) and one to the Schwabach hospital.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were ten properties and a community shepherd's house in Günzersreuth. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . The village and township government had the box office Schwabach held. The landlords were the Kastenamt Schwabach (4 total yards, 3 Köbler estates, 1 estate with cones), the Schwabach hospital (1 total yard) and the Barthelmesaurach church (1 estate). In 1800 there were still ten properties in the village.

In 1806 Günzersreuth came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, the tax district Günzersreuth was formed in 1808 , to which Gauchsdorf , Götzenreuth , Neppersreuth , Neumühle , Poppenreuth and Schopfhof belonged. In 1818 the rural community Günzersreuth was formed, which was congruent with the tax district. In the same year the Chausseehaus , which until then belonged to the Kammerstein tax district, became part of the rural community and the Günzersreuth tax district. The administration and jurisdiction of the municipality of Günzersreuth was subordinate to the Schwabach regional court and the tax office to the Schwabach Rent Office ( renamed the Schwabach Tax Office in 1920 ). From 1862 Günzersreuth was administered by the Schwabach District Office (renamed the Schwabach District in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Schwabach until 1879 and from 1880 it came to the district court Schwabach . The municipality had an area of 13,150 km².

On January 1, 1972, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, the municipality of Günzersreuth was dissolved: Günzersreuth, Chausseehaus, Neppersreuth and Poppenreuth were incorporated into the municipality of Kammerstein, the other places in Büchenbach .
