history

The mill was probably built around 1300 by the Ebrach monastery, from this time it was first mentioned as “in nouo molendio” on the occasion of tithes to the diocese of Eichstätt . It was on a branch line of what was then an important trade route, the Burgunderstraße .

In 1671 there was a property in Neumühle that was subordinate to the Abenberg caste office in Eichstätt . Towards the end of the 18th century there was still only one property in Neumühle. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . The Sägmühle had the Abenberg caste office as the landlord .

In 1800 the mill burned down completely and was rebuilt. As part of the community edict , Neumühle was assigned to the tax district of Günzersreuth in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Günzersreuth formed in 1818 . The inn was added in 1886, and later several houses. On January 1, 1972 Neumühle was incorporated into Büchenbach as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
