Wallace is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Rosa County in the US state of Florida with 1785 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Wallace is about 15 km west of Milton and about 30 km north of Pensacola .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 1785 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 770 households. 93.9% of the population identified themselves as white, 1.4% as African American , 1.4% as Native American and 1.0% as Asian Americans . 0.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.0% to several ethnic groups. 1.3% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 38.6% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 24.0% of all households. 79.4% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.75 people and the average family size was 3.10 people.

27.2% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 19.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 34.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 18.6% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 42 years. 50.0% of the population were male and 50.0% were female.
