history

The place was first mentioned in 1402 in the Salbuch of Heilsbronn monastery as "Weirsmu e l". The place name refers to nearby ponds.

According to the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn Monastery Office from 1608, the Weihersmühle had the Heilsbronn Monastery Administrator Office as the landlord . The mill with the barn burned down in the Thirty Years War .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were two properties in Weihersmühle (a mill, a brickworks ). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Brandenburg-Ansbach judges office in Roßtal . Both properties had the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Bonnhof as landlord.

As part of the community edict, Weihersmühle was assigned to the Großhabersdorf tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the Großhabersdorf rural community founded in the same year .

In 1820 a tobacco factory was built near the Weihersmühle.

Today the property is used as a Weihersmühle specialist clinic , where young, addictive men (18–40 years) receive therapy. The clinic is run by the Catholic Men's Welfare Association in Munich , which is a member of the German Caritas Association .
