Werner Christie
Werner Hosewinckel Christie (born April 26, 1949 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian politician and doctor of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). He was his country's health minister from 1992 to 1995 .
education and profession
Christie finished school in 1967 and went to Chicago as an exchange student in 1968 . In 1970 he studied sociology for a year at the University of Oslo , then a year of philosophy at the University of Bergen , before returning to Oslo, where he first studied political science for a year and finished his medical degree in 1979.
After completing his studies, he began to work as a doctor in various positions. From 1984 he worked as a researcher before he became head of the health department of Fylke Hedmarks in 1988 . Between 1992 and 2000 he was, intermittently, the chief administrative director of the Hedmark Health Service.
Political career
On September 4, 1992 Christie was appointed Minister of Health in the Department of Social Affairs, from November 1993 Department of Social Affairs and Health. He held this office in the Brundtland III government until December 22, 1995.
