Grete Berget
Grete Berget (born March 25, 1954 in Nord-Fron ; † November 9, 2017 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet and journalist . From 1991 to 1996 she was Family Minister .
Life
Berget trained as a weaver . She then ran her own weaving shop between 1976 and 1978, where she also taught the craft. In 1978 she started working as a journalist. From 1984 to 1985 she attended a journalism college. Between 1985 and 1988 she wrote for the left-wing newspaper Arbeiderbladet (now Dagsavisen ). From 1988 to 1989 she was the press spokeswoman for the Minister of State . From 1996 to 2001 she worked in the press work of her party.
From 1979 to 1982 Berget sat in the local parliament of Nord-Fron. Between 1981 and 1982 she was chairman of the youth organization Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking (AUF) in the province of Oppland , between 1985 and 1987 she was deputy chairman of the AUF at state level. In 1990 she worked as a consultant in the Norwegian equivalent of the Chancellery, the office of the Minister of State.
On November 15, 1991, she was appointed Minister in the Ministry of Children and Family . She held the office until October 25, 1996. In 2003 she became the general secretary of the pro-European European birds .
