Matz Sandman

Matz Sandman (born January 19, 1948 in Ballangen ) is a Norwegian politician and official of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). From 1990 and 1991 he was the family minister in his country.

Life

Sandman attended the Ålesund commercial high school until 1968 . He then worked as a teacher until 1969. Until 1974 he was at the Norwegian Business School . He then worked in the port economics department in Narvik between 1975 and 1978 . Until 1979 he worked for the Fylkeskommune Nordland before he worked for the Nordland utbyggingsselskap until 1981 , which is responsible for the economic development of Nordland.

Between 1981 and 1984 he was the so-called Rådmann , i.e. head of administration, of the municipality of Andøy , then until 1988 in Tromsø and then until 1994 in Bærum .

On November 3, 1990, he was appointed Minister for Families and Consumers in the Brundtland III government; on January 1, 1991, responsibility changed to children and families. He remained in this post until November 15, 1991. From 1996 he was Fylkesrådmann of Buskerud . He held this office until 2010.
