Wolfschlugen is a conservation area in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg .

Location and description

The approximately 51 hectare landscape protection area consists of four sub-areas that are distributed around the community of Wolfschlugen and was created by ordinance of the Esslingen District Office of April 18, 1985. At the same time, the Esslingen District Office's ordinance on the Hattenloch-Starke Äcker landscape protection area of July 24th came into effect 1981 expired. It belongs to the natural area 106- Filder within the natural spatial main unit 10- Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of meadows and fruit trees. The meadow orchards determine the character of the landscape and are particularly valuable as a natural habitat for plants and animals. In addition, preservation as a recreational area for the general public and protection from further impairment through small buildings and enclosures is of particular importance.
