Zieglhäusl is a district of the town of Oberviechtach in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria .

Geographical location

The Zieglhäusl desert is located on State Road 2160 about 300 m before it crosses State Road 2159 on the southern slope of the 608 m high Geißruck.

history

The name Zieglhäusl indicates that clay containing kaolin used to be mined here, from which bricks were baked. On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Zieglhäusl was listed as part of the Oberviechtach parish with one house and eight residents. On December 31, 1990, Zieglhäusl had seven residents and belonged to the parish of Oberviechtach.
