Alejandro "Álex" Pérez Navarro (born August 11, 1991 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

The central defender Pérez first played as a youth for various amateur clubs from Madrid, before moving to the youth department of Getafe FC in 2006 . Four years later signed a professional contract Pérez and was first used in the reserve team in the third-tier Segunda División B took. For the first team he was only used twice, once in the Copa del Rey and once in the UEFA Europa League against BSC Young Boys . To get match practice Pérez was loaned to SD Huesca in the 2012/13 season. In the following season, two more loan deals followed, first to Levski Sofia in Bulgaria and then to Recreativo Huelva .

In the 2015/16 season, Pérez ran for the Carolina RailHawks in the second-rate North American Soccer League . After a year in the United States , Pérez returned to Spain and joined the second division Real Valladolid . He was only active there for one year and switched to league rivals Sporting Gijón in the summer of 2017 . After his contract there expired in the summer of 2019, Pérez moved to Germany and signed a contract with the second division Arminia Bielefeld .
