The 68th Tour of Austria in 2016 was an Austrian road bike race . The stage race took place from July 2nd to 9th, 2016 . In addition, the bike race was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2016 and was classified in category 2.1 . On the first stage from Innsbruck to Salzburg , this tour also led through the Free State of Bavaria in Germany , where there was an intermediate sprint in Bad Reichenhall .
