Surprise in Mexico is a German-Austrian romance film from 2005 . The television film is the fourth part of the series Das Traumhotel .

action

The anniversary of the dream hotel of the Siethoff Group in Mexico , the Hacienda Temozon, is imminent. On the occasion of this event, the hotel magnate Dorothea von Siethoff and her nephew, the hotel manager Markus Winter, take a trip there. Dorothea wants to buy some valuable pictures for her hotel and has requested a local art expert. Shortly after landing, it turns out that the expert is Dorothea's childhood sweetheart Julian von Behrenberg. When he arrived at the hotel, Markus found out that the director there had suffered a heart attack during the hustle and bustle of the anniversary celebration and had to be taken to a hospital. Without further ado, Markus takes over the management of the hotel. He receives valuable help from the charming hotel employee Esmeralda and the receptionist Charles.

Charles and Esmeralda are in a relationship, but Charles is overly jealous, which repeatedly leads to crises in the relationship, until Esmeralda resigns from her position and leaves the hotel during the preparations for the anniversary.

Matthias Greiner, an engineer from Ingolstadt , spends his vacation at the Temozon hacienda with his little son Joshi. Since Joshi's mother left the family for a new love, Joshi has been severely traumatized and no longer speaks. Among the hotel guests is the rather unknown actress Norma Wood, who wants to undergo cosmetic surgery in Mexico. Matthias is very taken with the lady and would like to get to know her better. However, her behavior, which was affected at first, repeatedly offends him.

Aunt Dorothea, newly in love, spends her days almost exclusively with Julian von Behrenberg. Markus distrusts the penniless charmer, who has obviously spent a few years behind bars.

When the hotel's anniversary party was finally celebrated, all waves had calmed down. The surprisingly arrived Leonie, Markus' daughter, succeeds in persuading Esmeralda to return to the hotel, where she also dares to start over with Charles. Joshi took part in a dolphin therapy suggested by Markus and regained his ability to speak. Norma and Matthias are now a couple. It also turns out that Julian von Behrenberg was innocent in prison at the time.
