The APA Group is an Australian real estate company based in Sydney , New South Wales , which operates in the field of energy infrastructure. The segments include energy infrastructure, asset management and energy investments. The Energy Infrastructure segment comprises pipelines, gas storage and processing systems as well as systems for electricity generation to 100% or mostly. The Asset Management segment offers trading, operating and maintenance services as part of its energy investments. The Energy Investments segment comprises the company's interests in a number of investment companies that include energy infrastructure assets. APA Group has interests in several other companies, including the SEA Gas Pipeline, SEA Gas (Mortlake) Partnership, Energy Infrastructure Investments and GDI Allgas Gas Networks. APA owns and operates over 15,000 kilometers of pipelines and 4,100 kilometers of distribution networks as well as gas storage facilities, gas-fired power plants and wind and solar parks. APA currently transports more than half of the natural gas used in Australia. The company is listed on the S & P / ASX 50 .

- 2000 The predecessor Australian Pipeline Trust is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
- 2003 The stake in the Goldfields Gas Pipeline is increased to 48.5 percent.
- 2004 Acquisition of CMS Energy Corporation in Western Australia including the Parmelia gas pipeline, the Mondarra gas storage facility and a further interest in the Goldfields gas pipeline. The share of APA in the Goldfields Gas Pipeline increases to 88.2 percent.
- 2008 Acquisition of the 295 kilometer Central Ranges Pipeline in northern New South Wales.
- 2010 Participation in the SEA gas pipeline is increased to 50 percent.
- 2016 Acquisition of the remaining 50 percent of the Diamantina Power Station project.
- 2019 Darling Downs Solar Farm opens near Dalby in the Western Downs region of Queensland. The farm comprises almost 430,000 solar modules on an area of approximately 250 hectares.
