Adlitz ( East Franconian Mollads ) is a district of the municipality of Marloffstein in the Central Franconian district of Erlangen-Höchstadt .

geography

The village is located on the northern slope of the ridge from Rathsberg to Marloffstein. The place is immediately surrounded by arable land and grassland. A little further to the west and east are forest areas, the east is called mountain wood . Two nameless streams flow through these forest areas, which flow northwards as left tributaries into the Schlangenbach . The western brook feeds the swan ponds. The state road 2242 goes according Marloffstein (1.25 km to the south) and after Langensendelbach (1.25 km north). A communal road runs to Atzelsberg to the district road ERH 7 (1.5 km southwest). Another communal road runs to Schneckenhof (0.5 km northwest).

history

In 1348 the place was first mentioned as "Adlotz". The place name is based on the personal name Adelolt . Since a basic word such as -hof or -bach is missing, the form of Adelolt (his court) was used , which was ground to Madlotz (first attested in the 14th century). Both forms have been in use over the centuries, the variant has established itself in dialect.

The place was probably founded around 1100 by the Reichsministeriale von Gründlach . By the 14th century at the latest, the Gründlacher's servants, the Knights of Strobel , claimed their feudal claims. On the other hand, the Burgraviate of Nuremberg sued with success. So Adlitz became a burggrave - and in their legal successor - a margrave fief , which was initially given to the Strobels. In addition to the strobes, the bishopric of Bamberg also had manorial claims. In the Bamberg land register of 1348 a tithe was recorded in Adlitz. The landlords of the margravial complex (1502: one castle and two courtyards) changed frequently (see Schloss Adlitz ). In 1799 there were seven subject families in the village, six of which were Brandenburg-Bayreuth and one was Bamberg. The Brandenburg-Bayreuth Oberamt Baiersdorf as well as the Bamberg Centamt Neunkirchen raised claims to the high and low jurisdiction as well as to the tithe , which led to permanent legal disputes. One consequence was the looting and pillage in 1552 during the Second Margrave War .

As part of the community edict (early 19th century), Adlitz was assigned to the tax district of Uttenreuth . In 1818 the rural community of Adlitz was formed, to which Schneckenhof belonged. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subordinate to the Erlangen Regional Court and in the financial administration to the Erlangen Rent Office (from 1920 Erlangen Tax Office ). From 1862 Adlitz was administered by the Erlangen District Office (renamed the Erlangen District in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 the District Court Erlangen, from 1880 at the district court Erlangen . The municipality had an area of 1.475 km².

On May 1, 1978, Adlitz was incorporated into Marloffstein as part of the regional reform .

The “Nussbaumkeller” beer garden at the “Zur Ludwigshöhe” inn with its wide view of Franconian Switzerland is a popular destination.
