Aiwasowskoje ( Russian Айвазовское , German Traus, Forsthaus ) is a place in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Gorodskoje posselenije Schelesnodoroschnoje (township Schelesnodoroschny (Gerdauen) ) in Pravdinsky District (county Friedland (East Prussia.) ).

Geographical location

Aivazovskoye is five kilometers northwest of Schelesnodoroschny ( Gerdauen ) not far from the town of Lipnjaki ( Trausen ) on a side road (section of the former German Reichsstrasse 141 ) that connects Schelesnodoroschny and Druzhba ( Allenburg ).

history

Before 1945 the former Vorwerk Trausen, forester's house belonged to the town of Gerdauen (Schelesnodoroschny) in the district of Gerdauen in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . With Adamswalde (Russian: Novo-Galitscheski), Althof (Gogolewskoje), Christinenfeld (Sowchosnoje) and Döhrings (Derschawino), Trausen belonged to Gut Kinderhof.

In 1945 Trausen, Forsthaus with northern East Prussia came to the Soviet Union . In 1950 the place was named "Aivazovskoye" after the painter Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky . Until 2009, Aivazovskoye was incorporated into the Wischnjowski Soviet (Dorfsovjet Wischnjowoje (Altenhof) ) within the Kaliningrad Oblast, which has been in Russia since 1991/92 . Since then, due to structural and administrative reforms, it has been classified as a “settlement” (Russian: possjolok) within the Gorodskoje posselenije Schelesnodoroschnoje (township of Schelesnodoroschny (Gerdauen) ) in Pravdinsk district .
